Adobe Flash Player or simply “Flash Player” is an Adobe product that allows users to watch flash based content on the web. Flash allows websites to perform a wide variety of tasks that they would not be able to do via simple browser programming languages.

For example, the popular video hosting website, YouTube, is run on Flash and provides interactivity within the videos themselves, such as the ability to click on in-video links to external websites and other YouTube videos. Flash is also used in many browser based games such as Facebook games like Cityville, Farmville, and Mafia Wars. Likewise, Flash can be used in navigational menus and other website related content.

How to Install Flash Player

Users can install Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55, which is the latest stable version of Flash Player, by clicking here, unchecking the “Download Google Toolbar” option, and clicking the “Download Now” button. This will allow the user to either run or save the Flash Player setup program. If the user wishes to save the setup program for later use on other computers or as a backup, he/she can save it to an appropriate folder, although the setup file can be downloaded again at any time from the link above.

If the user does not wish to save the file, he/she can simply click the “Run” button on the first dialog box that appears, click the “Run” button on the “Security Warning” dialog box that appears next, as well as click the “Yes” button on the User Account Control dialog box. Adobe Flash Player will then install itself and should be accessible via the Start Menu.
