Sonicwall is a company that produces routers, modems, VPN (Virtual Private Network) hardware, and firewall solutions for both personal and commercial users. Sonicwall routers, in particular, are widely distributed to an array of consumers who access the Internet through high speed secure connections due to the support that Sonicwall products provide. Sonicwall routers generally consist of one or two omni-directional antennas, advanced WPA encryption, and four LAN ports for Ethernet connections.

Sonicwall Default Password

Sonicwall users can access their router’s control panel in order to setup wireless encryption, connect wireless devices to the router, and conduct a wide variety of other tasks by entering their username and password. If the user has never accessed his/her Sonicwall control panel before, he/she will need to use the default username and password, which is “admin” and “password,” both of which should be printed on the bottom of the user’s router.

How to Change a Sonicwall Password

If the user wishes to change his/her Sonicwall password in order to prevent others from accessing the router’s control panel by using the default password, he/she can do so by logging into the Sonicwall control panel, which can be found by entering 192.168.168.168 into any browser and either running the Setup Wizard or opening the Configuration menu. Either option will allow the user to enter his/her old password, which will be “password” if the user has never changed it before, enter a new password, and enter the new password again to confirm it.

How to Reset Sonicwall

If the user has forgotten his/her Sonicwall password, he/she can reset the router by pushing any small, pointed object into the “Reset” button found at the bottom of the Sonicwall router. This will reset the router to its default settings, allowing the user to log into his/her Sonicwall router by using the username “admin” and the password “password.”
