How to Reset an HTC Evo

As a result of its many supported applications and large storage space, the HTC Evo may eventually slow down or freeze up. While it is much less common for an HTC Evo to malfunction when compared to other smartphones, due to its large amount of RAM, it is possible that a user may eventually need to reset his/her Evo.

In order to do this:

1) Turn the phone off.

2) Hold the Volume Down button and the Power button simultaneously. This will launch a menu that will include a “Clear Data” option.

3) Scroll down to this option by using the volume buttons and select it by pressing the Power button.

4) The phone will then ask the user to confirm the selection, do this by pressing the Volume Up button. The phone will then reset itself and will eventually display the default setup screen on the phone’s homepage.
