The print screen feature is an interesting feature that allows you to take a snap shot of what’s currently on your computer screen. So, if you were to do a print screen of this article, it would include an exact copy of everything on here. Then, you could take it and save it. The thing about a print screen, though, is that it is an image. This means that while you are viewing a text document, you are saving an image, so you can’t edit the text via a print screen.

To do a print screen, all you need to do is move your scroll bar to the exact place that you want and then hit the Print Screen button. Depending on the computer determines what the button says, but one of the common ones is Prnt Scrn. Hitting this will take an instantaneous snap shot. The reason you want to move your scroll bar to where you want it first is because the print screen takes a picture of the monitor. It doesn’t take a picture of the entire web page.

Once you have taken the print screen, open up your favorite picture editing program. For example, you can use Paint or, if you have it, you can use Adobe Photoshop. When you do the print screen, it’s like doing a Ctl+C. In essence, you’ve copied the picture. So, once the program loads, hit Ctl+V or click edit and paste. When you do this, the picture will automatically paste to the program. How to Print Screen

Once it is there, you can edit it and resize it as you see fit. Now that it is pasted, you can go and take another print screen. The one thing about the print screen is that you can only take one at a time. The computer doesn’t have the ability to store them in a cache unless you have opened up the picture editing program. Once it is in the program, though, it will stay there and you can take new print screens.
